I am sending you a picture of a 1936 Prairie Schooner that was built by the
Kretschmer family in Elkhart Indiana. The people in the picture are Eugene Kretschmer SR, Mary Kretschmer, Eugene JR, Carol and Catherine my mother. The picture was taken at Rice park in Elkhart
Indiana in 1936.
In 1938 the factory was destroyed by fire and someone else took over the name and rights to manufacture the Prairie Schooner. I am Eugene JR and in the picture I am three
years old.
